Halloween Bread

Ingredients:
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

3 cups flour
1 cup milk
1 stick yeast
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup sugar
2/3 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped roasted nuts
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

Cooking:
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Knead all ingredients into a smooth dough. Set aside for half an hour.

Add raisins, nuts, cinnamon and nutmeg, knead well, set aside for 10 min. During this step put a little surprise into the dough (e.g. a ring). Put the dough into the greased baking form and bake in the hot oven for about half an hour. Remove from the oven after the Halloween bread is well-baked-through, and let it cool on a rack. Afterwards sprinkle with sugar powder.

Attention: you should warn your guests or your family that there is a surprise inside, and the one who will find it, should perform a Halloween dance or a song, or whatever you can think of on Halloween night!
