Key Points of EXPO 2000
Hannover EXPO 2000 is a high-class, large-scale project having its main
areas of functioning. The main focal points of EXPO are:
1. National Pavilions
Internationality contributes a lot to the Exposition and its popularity.
More than 50 countries set up the pavilions of their own, while the rest
use the exhibition halls. The best representatives of the mankind have
gathered at the EXPO, and this is a great opportunity to share their ideas
for the future!
2. Thematic Area
This is the place where the visitors can see, hear, smell, taste,
and design the future. Here are the results of great achievements of the
mankind and possible solutions to the global problems.
3. Culture and Events Program
The cultural
program is what makes the EXPO even more attractive for the visitors.
Daily concerts, performances, photo exhibitions, live organ music, choir
concerts, world-famous celebrities performing alongside the young artists
- all this makes the serious event entertaining and unforgettable.
4. Worldwide Projects
Getting worldwide is the second feature making the EXPO unique.
For the first time the World Exposition is not limited to one single place
of action. More than 700 practical examples, about 280 of them in Germany,
are currently registered as Projects Around the World. Regardless of their
location, the Projects have the general purpose to illustrate the connections
between the EXPO's motto constituents: Man, Nature and Technology.
